Yeah, back from my Hong Kong shooping trip just recently..
This time, I will show you or maybe teach you how to shop smartly in Hong Kong (HK) with the best bargain.
Honestly, stronger MYR also gives us more reasons to buy in HK. The ringgit has been recovered from its lowest MYR48.30 exchange HKD100 in Mar 2009 to higher MYR42 exchange HKD100 in Apr 2010. Which means that every dollar you spend in HK will give you 13% discount in Ringgit. (eg: a pair of shoes previously was ratailed at HKD199, probably you have to pay MYR96.11 in 2009, but now only MYR83.58! see the different?
We arrived in HK around 12 noon, and took cab from HKIA to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). Taxi fares was around HKD245-255 including surcharge for 3 pieces of luggages, tolls. They don't have complicated taxi variants in Malaysia. You just need to recognise a red cabbie, and they will send you to every corner in HK Island and Kowloon.
Shopping districts in HK are very centralized. Tsim Sha Tsui is suitable for those who looking for luxurious brands..LV, Gucci, Dior, YSL..you name it, you get it in this concrete city. Mongkok is very suitable for luxury yet affordable brands. H&M is a must buy brand in HK. Quality wise is very similiar to Zara, but priced cheaper than Topshop.
Another brand I like most is Uniqlo. Uniqlo is originated from Japan, but available in Korea, China, Singapore, HK...and i heard that this brand is coming to Malaysia in August. And it will be a 3 storeys flagship store located in Fahrenheit 88 (former KL Plaza). We shall wait and see
You must taste the local desserts when you are travelling in HK. You may taste the delicious dessert from traditional stalls or Pick & Go chain store.
Funs and joys are always here...We will share with you further!

Bangkok 2010
Went to Bangkok with my friends during 28 february 2010. This is my second time to Bangkok. However, this trip was my really first time to play, eat and visit Bangkok. My first time in Bangkok was actually a seminar and study trip.
We took Air Asia flight and departed from KLIA LCC Terminal. (Many people get confused LCCT and KLIA). KLIA is the name of airport , while LCCT is one of the terminal in KLIA which shares the same runway and both managed by Malaysia Airport Berhad.
Reached airport around 9 in the morning, and filled our stomach in McD. (until now still don't know why restaurants in airport are more expensive?)
While waiting to board the plane...day dreaming?
Checked in and flight took off around 11am. After 2 hours, we landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport in city of Bangkok.
After we have claimed our luggages, we walked out to arrival hall. The moment when you walk out, there were many people came and approached me. Guess why they approached me? Yes, you're right! Taxi or Limo services!
It is very convenient to take taxi from airport to downtown of Bangkok. For taxi service, you have to go down one floor and have your taxi ride. The fare is about 350-400THB. However, we opted to take Airport Limo service considering 6 of us have a lot of luggages. We bought a coupon costs us 1200THB, and a staff guides us to Limo. (another reason why we took Limo because we were so lazy to walk down to lower floor).
And here's we start our journey to Bangkok....
Suvarnabhumi Airport view..A 3 stars airport reviewed by Skytrax
Signage inside the airport: Thai and English available. Concrete ceiling in arrival hall.
Claim your baggage here! Below line is Kuala Lumpur in Thai wording.
Airport Limo service gives you a choice of Toyota Camry (1100THB), and Toyota or Isuzu coach (1200THB)
Expressway from airport to city center
Our hotel located in Pratunam, Citin Hotel. A budget hotel rate with 3 stars comfort! We spent about 4500THB per room for 3 nights. Isn't it worth?
Amenities in the hotel room. 32"LCD TV, a mini bar and a safety box.
After hotel check in, we quickly went to a restaurant nearby and have our lunch before shopping (the main purpose to Bangkok) starts..
We tried Thai seafood Tom Yam and also Thai fried rice. Honestly, you will eat almost the same taste of tom yam everywhere in Thailand. It could be different only from the ingredients inside. Maybe abalone tom yam next time?
After our lunch, we went to Chatuchak market. We took sky train from....
Story to be continued..............................
Keep your eyes in this space..more excitements and
sharing are coming to you very soon! Sawadeka!
